About us

Six years on Kenyatta Street — and still learning from Kitale

The Classfieldq team standing outside their Kenyatta Street shop in Kitale

Classfieldq began with a single premise: a neighbourhood business should earn its place by being genuinely useful.

Who we are and what we do

Classfieldq is a small local business based in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya. We operate from a single location on Kenyatta Street and serve three connected needs: reliable local services, a structured appointment booking system, and a curated range of everyday products. Our customers are primarily Kitale households — families managing a busy week who need things done without drama — and the town's micro and small enterprises, which make up a significant share of economic activity in Trans-Nzoia. We've been at this since 2018, and over those six years we've completed well over four hundred service engagements and welcomed returning customers from across the town and surrounding areas including Cherangany, Kiminini, and Saboti. The team is small — fewer than ten people — but everyone on it lives within twenty minutes of the shop, which means we understand the local market from the inside rather than from a head-office spreadsheet.

How we work — and what we won't promise

Our process is intentionally simple: agree scope before starting, communicate clearly if anything changes, and follow up after completion. We write things down — quotes, job notes, customer requests — because memory is unreliable and documentation protects both sides. The indigo-and-white aesthetic you see in our space and on this site is a deliberate choice: clarity over clutter, precision over decoration. We believe a local business earns loyalty through repetition of small, kept promises rather than a single dramatic gesture. We are not the cheapest option in Kitale for everything, and we don't pretend to be. We also can't guarantee outcomes that depend on factors outside our control — weather, third-party supply chains, or a client's own preparation for an appointment. What we can guarantee is that we'll be honest when something isn't going to plan, and that we'll fix our own mistakes without an argument. If you walk in expecting a large retail experience or a service that operates outside our defined scope, we'll tell you upfront and, where we can, point you to someone who fits that need better. Kitale has good businesses — we'd rather send you to the right one than lose your trust by overpromising.
